Acer Aspire 1420P Tablet Netbook

The Acer Aspire 1420P Touchscreen Netbook grabbed the attention and bagged admiration at a Chinese Press Event held recently.  This sleek laptop did turn its glossy lid around posing for the photographers. The 11.6” WXGA LED touch display of this device is expected to offer multi-touch capability. Like most of the touchscreen laptops, this one’s lid too can be swiveled and folded over, to convert it into a tablet.

Inside the glamorous getup, one can expect the Intel Celeron SU2300 processor. This will be assisted by a 2GB RAM, which can be upgraded to a maximum of 8GB. The hard drive will have a capacity of 320GB. This laptop is supposed to run on the Windows 7 operating system. Memory expansion will also be possible with memory cards that can be read by a multi-format card reader.

WiFi (802.11b/g/n) and Bluetooth are expected to be supported by this portable PC. Optionally, 3G proficiency will be offered by this tablet PC as well. A web-camera will also be integrated for video calls in this touchscreen netbook.

The Acer Aspire 1420P Convertible Netbook will most probably release in the US. A UK release hasn’t been mentioned yet. Neither have pricing details or laptop offers and laptop deals been revealed.
