Acer Aspire One 532 Ties Up With Intel’s Pine Trail: Leaked Details
December 13, 2009
The Acer Aspire One 532 Netbook is supposed to be the first from the Acer family to feature the new processor platform from Intel – the Pine Trail. The processor that will drive this netbook is going to be the Intel Atom N540.

The Acer Aspire One 532’s other leaked features make it just another netbook. This 10.1″ LCD screen netbook will have a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The Intel GMA 3150 graphics processor will handle visual data processing. A 1GB RAM will be integrated within. This Windows 7 machine will offer a choice between 160GB and 250GB hard drives.
A standard set of interfaces will be present onboard the device, with 3 USB ports, a 5-in-1 card reader, a VGA output and the audio jacks. WiFi will be supported. Wired Gigabit LAN connection will also provide internet access. A 0.3MP web camera is going to make its way into this netbook as well. This portable workstation will be powered up by a 3-cell battery. This will help keep the weight light. But it still remains to see how efficient the Pine Trail platform is in conserving power and delivering a good battery life.

The Acer Aspire One 532 Pine Trail Netbook will ship in red, blue, silver and black coloured cases. Though there isn’t solid information as to when this device will be released, the laptop deal price has been speculated as EUR299.
