IT is one among the many new laptops that have joined hands with Microsoft’s new operating system – the Windows 7 OS. This laptop has a 15.6″ display which has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Thus, it is capable of displaying HD content.

The Intel Pentium T4300 processor which has a clock rate of 2.1GHz has been incorporated within this device. A 4GB DDR2 RAM is present as well. The hard drive offers a 500GB storage capacity. Graphics processing is performed by the Intel GMA 4500MHD processor. That pretty much sums up the basic set of specifications.

Coming to the multimedia capability of this mobile PC, it houses a DVD drive. In case you wish to watch movies or videos on a bigger monitor, there are both HDMI as well as VGA output ports integrated in this Advent laptop. Audio jacks for microphone and headphone are also available. Speakers are built-in too.

Taking a look at the networking ability of this device – it lets you access the internet either using wired Ethernet or wireless WiFi. There are 3 USB ports, in case you want to connect to other devices, for information sharing. An ExpressCard slot is present too.

Battery life is average with something close to 2 hours for less demanding applications. Also with a weight of 2.9kg, it is not a very portable device. The Advent Roma 3000 Multimedia Laptop has been priced at £430. This does seem like an affordable laptop, considering the features it offers. However, you can get laptops with similar offerings from other vendors for a lower price.
