Been using hewlette packard since 2003 and it never bogged down. why is it that the macbook i bought in new york bogged down after 2 days.

Am a lawyer in the philippines who bought a macbook 13″ at weschester,white plains,new york last november 21,2008 with serial no W8846N8G1AQ. 2 days after i arrived in my country on december 5,2008 said macbook didnt start up to date. What kind of product is this? if i bought it in china or philippines i would not complain but i bought in the states hence i have all the reasons to inform the users all over the world about the poor craftsmanship of apple macbook.
