Asus’ New Notebooks Unveiled At CeBIT 2009

CeBIT 2009, held at Hannover, Germany, saw the first glimpse of the Asus’ K and M Series Notebooks and other attention capturing Laptops too. These portable PCs are expected to highlight the immense amount of research done and energy the company has spent to bring to the world, mobile computing solutions that are both stylish as well as impressive in performance.
Among the displays was the Asus Lamborghini VX5 Notebook, which as the name suggests draws its inspiration from the Lamborghini. The most striking feature of this laptop is its 1 Terabyte Solid State Drive. This is equal to 1024GB! Phew! This notebook also incorporates the NVIDIA GeForce GT130M Graphics processor and the Intel Core 2 Quad processor. It features a full high definition 16.1 inch screen as well. A Blue-ray disc player is present too. The RAM is a spacious 4GB as well. Also, for graphics, there is a dedicated GDDR3 1GB VRAM. A TwinTurbo mode, present in this unique laptop, can be operated using a speed key, to accelerate the CPU and GPU performance. A chiclet keyboard which lights up in poorly lit environment is sported too. Both the inside and the outside of this sporty looking laptop are very attractive and resemble the original Lamborghini. Considering all the specifications that it offers, it seems to be ideal for gaming, movies and other multimedia usage.
The Asus K Series Notebooks have been designed keeping comfort during usage in mind. The notebooks of this series feature the Asus Super Hybrid Engine which offer high-end performance. A 6-cell battery has also been implemented to give almost 5 hours of computing life. There is a choice between two modes that offer either performance or power conservation. The laptops also ensure ultimate sound quality with the SRS TruSurround sound and the Altec Lansing speakers. Great visuals can be expected too, with the LCD widescreen display. Heat vents have been provided as well, to keep the palm rests relatively cool even after long hours of working.
Asus also had the unique Dual Panel Touchscreen Notebook on display at CeBIT. One of the screens can display a virtual QWERTY keyboard as well, to enable using this notebook like a regular laptop.
The Asus M Series Notebooks – M90Gf and M52Vp, made an eye-catching display too. These notebooks feature widescreen LCD displays, full sized keyboards and are powered by the Intel Core 2 Duo processor. The Asus M90Gf Notebook is equipped with the NVIDIA GeForce GT 130M graphics card with the Nvidia NCP79MH chipset. This laptop also houses a 16GB RAM. Its’ 18.4 inch display offers Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Asus M52Vp Notebook is smaller with a 15.6 inch screen offering a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and has an LED-backlight. This mobile computer utilises the ATI Mobility Radeon HD4650 card and has 1GB of dedicated Video RAM.
