Gigabyte was at Hannover, Germany, to participate in CeBIT 2009. The notebook manufacturer had 3 slim, portable, well designed and attractive notebooks on display. They are the M1028, M1024 and the M1022 notebooks. These notebooks might be available for sale from the second quarter of 2009.

The Gigabyte M1028 Notebook was one of the show stealers at CeBIT. Powered by the 1.66GHz Intel N270 Atom processor, this mobile PC offers a 2GB RAM and a maximum of 250GB hard drive storage. WiFi, WiMAX, 3.5G and Bluetooth connectivity are supported. A line up of connections and a 1.3MP camera are all on board this laptop as well. The 10.1″ display of this notebook can be swivelled about a central axis and is touch sensitive too. This convertible notebook which weighs about 1kg, is also easy to carry around and use.

The super slim and beautiful Gigabyte M1024 Notebook captured good attention when it was on display. It is a lighter and slimmer brother of the M1028 Notebook. This notebook is powered on the inside by the Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor. A 1GB RAM is present too. There is also an option between a 60GB or an 80GB hard drive. The Intel 945GSE video chipset has also been implemented in this device. A 10.1 inch screen is featured as well, which offers a resolution of 1024 x 576 pixels. Being WiFi (802.11a/b/g) capable, this mini laptop can be used to access the internet at any of the WiFi hotspots. It is Bluetooth capable too, allowing transfer of information to and from other bluetooth enabled devices. This slim and ultra-portable notebook, which weighs just 0.89kg, also has the option of 3.5G connectivity. A 6 cell Lithium ion battery has been employed for power supply.



The third in the M10xx series is the Gigabyte M1022 Notebook. There are 2 types available in this category. The M1022G and the M1022P. The M1022G Notebook is also a 10 inch screen note, with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. This portable computer features the Intel Atom N280 processor. This notebook houses a 1GB RAM which is upgradable to a maximum of 2GB. This portable PC gives an option among 3 hard drives – 160GB or 250GB or 320GB. 3.5G networking is supported as well. The M1022P Notebook features a powerful Intel Atom N280 processor and a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The HSDPA module has been absented in this model. The M1022 Notebook comes with a docking station, which can be used to connect to a larger monitor, USB keyboard and mouse, for more convenient usage and better viewing.
