Kopin Golden-i Gen.2 Wearable Computer

The unique Kopin Golden-i Gen.2 Computer, is something that you can wear! It can do as much as recognise head gestures. Voice control is featured too, with Nuance speech-recognition unit. In order that only your voice commands are taken in as input, there are noise cancellation components, which cut out any other background noise. The device offers a 15-inch virtual display and a Bluetooth Headset. It can play 30fps 720 x 480 video using Bluetooth 2.0. You can even use it to access the internet, view documents and more by linking it with other Bluetooth compatible devices, like PCs or laptops or Smartphones. WiFi can be used for connections as well.

There is a feature for head and body tracking with a Hillcrest Labs FreeSpace sensor. This gadget is based on the Microsoft’s operating system – Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2. It employs the ARM Cortex A8 processor. The memory aspect include SSD and microSD.

This wearable computer, will link with your smartphone or laptop via Bluetooth, even if the phone or laptop are inside your bag. You can view the contents of the laptop or phone on the 15″ virtual screen of the Golden-i Gen.2 device. You can then control the functionality using your voice. You can remotely wake up Windows PCs from their sleep mode and work on them. When done, you can with your voice, put the PC back into its hibernate state as well.
