Asus EEE PC 1201N Netbook

The specifications of the newest netbook from Asus – the Asus EEE PC 1201N Netbook, are leaked on a Chinese website. Although there is no information about its release, deals, offers and pricing in the UK, it still worthwhile throwing a glance over its specifications.

This notebook comes with a 12″ screen which has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9. These features allow the monitor to handle high definition content. The processor employed is the Intel Atom N270, which works at a clock speed of 1.6GHz. The RAM memory is 2GB spacious. The hard drive capacity is 250GB. The NVIDIA Ion graphics chipset is also included. The website mentions the operating system to be the much awaited Microsoft Windows 7 OS. Thus this notebook can be expected in the market after October 22, 2009.

Networking-wise, the Asus EEE PC 1201N 12″ Notebook supports WiFi and wired Ethernet connectivity. Even Bluetooth capability is offered for wireless data transfers with other devices. Interfaces include USB ports, multi-card reader and a VGA port. A 1.3 Megapixel web camera is fitted in this cheap laptop. The most praise-worthy aspect is the battery life.
