Asus F70 Laptop

Asus F70 Laptop is supposed to be a desktop replacement for movie-enthusiasts. It sports a 17.3” glossy screen with a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9. A maximum of 1600 x 900 pixels resolution is supported. At its heart is an Intel Core 2 Duo T5850 processor which has a clock speed of 2.16GHz. The RAM of this laptop has a capacity of 4GB, while the hard drive is 320GB spacious. A DVD Super Multi dual layer drive is packed in this workstation as well. The lack of a Blu-Ray drive is a little disappointing though. The operating system employed is the Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium. Graphics processing is taken care of by the Nvidia GeForce 9300 GS.

On the connectivity front, this mobile PC houses 4 USB ports, VGA output, HDMI output, an 8-in-1 card reader, headphone jack and microphone jack. You can connect to the internet via WiFi or the wired Ethernet connector. Bluetooth is also supported by this device. Accompanying the HD display is the HD audio from the Altec Lansing surround sound speakers.

Though not a light laptop, with a weight of 4.1kg, the Asus F70 17” Laptop does offer more portability than the desktop PC. It has been priced at £859.
