Asus G73 Laptop – The new ‘Republic Of Gamers’ Laptop
Posted on March 30, 2010
Asus G73 Laptop draws its inspiration from the F-117 Nighthawk. Like the stealth fighter, this 17.3″ screen laptop too has a black torso with a neat cut-design. This device is an addition to the Republic Of Gamers Asus laptops.
Coming to the internal composition – there’s an Intel Core i7-820QM processor. The ATI Radeon HD5870 graphics card has been employed for handling graphics. The RAM that ships with the laptop is an 8GB one. However, this can be boosted all the way up to 16GB. A 1TB hard drive is present within. A Blu-Ray-DVD Combo drive also comes packed in this gamer. Windows 7 comes pre-loaded. One of the various specialties of the Asus G73 laptop is its single click over-clock ability during runtime.
A new feature that this gaming laptop incorporates is the vent couple on the rear. These vents have been placed to let the hot air be blown out from behind, rather than beneath. This makes for better ventilation and cooling down of the workstation. Even the palm rest is said to maintain its cool with the ventilation technique.
Ergonomics has also received attention in the design of this gaming laptop. The backlit keyboard slopes at an angle of 5° for comfortable usage.
The Asus G73 price is mentioned to be £1,899. A nice hefty price for a nice hefty laptop, which weighs in at 3.85kg.
The Asus G73 release is expected early in April 2010.
