A finger-print reader is present in the Asus P30A laptop as well. Also doing a good job in protecting the hard drive from jerks and shocks is the HDD ShockShield Protection mechanism.

Internally this laptop is powered by the Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 processor which has a clock speed of 1.4GHz. A 4GB RAM is housed in this ultra-portable PC. There is a choice between hard drives of 250GB or 320GB capacities. A DVD drive has also been built into this mobile computer. A 13.3” LED rear-lit, LCD widescreen display is sported by this small laptop too. The resolution offered is 1366 x 768 pixels. The operating system pre-loaded on this device is the Microsoft Windows Vista OS, which can be one of Ultimate, Business or Home editions.

An interesting set of networking options are presented by this business notebook as well. Apart from the regular WiFi, wired Ethernet and Bluetooth connectivity, this laptop also offers WiMAX capability. High speed internet access rates are made possible with the 3G technology of this device. A 1.3 Megapixel camera is integrated into this mobile PC too. An HDMI link is present in this notebook as well. The Asus P30A 13.3” Laptop, with a weight of just 1.5kg and an estimated 12 hour battery life, with all the security features surely makes a perfect laptop for official travels. It is a little disappointing to hear that the Asus P30 will be released only in Germany, Italy, France, Taiwan, China, New Zealand and Australia.
