Asus U20A Laptop seems like a good balance between portability and multimedia features. It has a 12.1” 1280 x 800 pixels screen. Its glossy exterior not only attracts attention but also finger prints. Nevertheless, it looks impressive.

Internally it Is powered by the Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 processor which has a clock speed of 1.4GHz. The RAM has a 4GB capacity and the hard drive can store a maximum of 320GB of data. There is a card reader in this notebook too, which supports SD, MMC, MS, MS-Pro, xD, mini SD, MS-Duo and MS-Pro Duo cards. The graphics processor incorporated is the Intel GMA X4500MHD. There is a DVD drive packed into this workstation as well. The speakers in this mobile computer use SRS Premium sound technology. The operating system employed is the Windows Vista Home Premium edition.

WiFi and Ethernet connectivity are both supported for internet access. Bluetooth wireless file exchange is also possible with other devices, like Bluetooth headsets. Like many of the other multimedia laptops, this one too offers a long list of interfaces and ports. There are 3 USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, a VGA port, a headphone jack, a microphone jack, an HDMI link and a Kensington lock on board. A 1.3 Megapixel web camera is present too.

The Asus U20A 12” Notebook boasts an 8.5 hour battery life. It has a chiclet backlit keyboard. Even the touchpad has lighting which glows when touched. This touchpad recognizes finger-gestures for zooming, scrolling and switching between pages. There are sensors that check ambient light and adjust the display as well as the backlights accordingly. Currently, this notebook is selling for a price of about £740.
