Lenovo Ideapad 12″ S12 Netbook will be creating history! It is the first netbook to feature the NVIDIA’s Ion Platform. This is a combination of the Intel Atom processor and NVIDIA’s GeForce 9400M graphics on a single chipset, that promises a graphics and video performance boost. Full HD output can be achieved with this Ion platform. Moreover, gaming-wise too, a performance enhancement can be expected. NVIDIA claims that games like Call Of Duty 4, World Of Warcraft, Portal and the like can be played better on Ion netbooks. Ion powered netbooks belong to the Apple 13″ Netbook calibre.
The other technical details of this netbook are as follows – A 12.1” screen is sported which has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. A 1GB DDR2 RAM and a 160GB hard drive will be present in this mobile computer. The OS that comes with this portable PC is Microsoft’s Windows XP Home. Wired ethernet and WiFi connections are both offered for internet access. Bluetooth compatibility is presented as well. It might be priced approximately at about £300 and might be available for sale from August.
