Asus W90 Laptop seems like a machine that will be loved by gamers. Though it weighs close to 6kg, and is humongous in size, it is supposed to offer real fast processing and graphics speed. It is empowered with either an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz processor or a Quad processor, according to the user’s choice. This laptop also gives you the option of overclocking the CPU to enhance speed. A total of 6GB of space is offered by the RAM in this device. The hard drive is capacious too, with a storage space of 640GB. As with most multimedia laptops, this one comes with a Blu Ray drive as well.
There is an 18.4” screen which presents a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This means pristine clarity of the displays. Also the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870 graphics processor has been incorporated for taking care of graphics. The operating system employed is Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate. WiFi and Ethernet connectivity are both supported for internet connection. Even Bluetooth wireless data exchange is supported. The Asus W90 is well equipped with interfaces too. 4 USB ports, a Firewire port, an ExpressCard slot, an HDMI output, a D-Sub output are all packed in this gaming machine.
The Asus W90 Gaming and Multimedia Laptop is currently selling for a price of about £2399. That is expensive. But it has been one of the most powerful machines seen till date.

Asus G60Vx Laptop

Asus’ new Asus G60Vx 16” Laptop is the new gaming portable PC from the company. A well designed device, it comes with a black body and white lid colour combination. A chiclet keyboard with back-light and well spaced keys is presented. There is sufficient space to include a numeric keypad as well. The track-pad looks wide too, and has a silver lining around it.
Asus G60Vx sports a 16” screen with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This means pristine display clarity. Plunging into the technical specifications – this gaming laptop has an Intel Core 2 Quad processor (Q9000) working away at a clock speed of 2 GHz. A 4GB DDR3 RAM adds to processing speed. A hard drive of 1TB is also expected to be present. For graphics, an NVidia GeForce GTX 260M card with 1GB of dedicated memory is provided. The Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium OS has been employed as the software platform in this workstation.
There is a long list of connections on board this mobile computer too. 4 USB ports, a VGA output, an aerial input, an HDMI output, a mini Firewire port, a memory card reader, a USB/eSATA combo port, a 54mm ExpressCard slot, 3 audio jacks (a microphone and 2 headphones) and a Gigabit Ethernet port. Novatech X90 GTX 280 Clevo Laptop

Novatech X90 GTX 280 Clevo 17″ Laptop is the new gaming and multimedia mobile computer on the block. It was initially announced at CeBIT, held in March 2009. A powerful feature set, makes it a real hulk in the market.
This Novatech X90 Clevo laptop ships in 2 configurations: the X90 GTX and X90 GTX Pro. The major differences between these 2 configurations are the X90 GTX incorporates an Intel Core i7 920 Quad Core processor which has a clock speed of 4 x 2.66GHz. On the other hand the X90 GTX Pro employs the Intel Core i7 940 Quad Core processor, which clocks at 4 x 2.93GHz. Moreover, the X90 GTX comes with three 500GB hard drives, while the X90 GTX Pro has three 64GB solid state drives. Hence X90 GTX Pro is a faster and costlier machine than the X90 GTX.
All other features remain the same. The X90 Clevo has a 4GB DDR3 RAM. A Blu Ray/DVD read write drive has also been integrated into this device. The Nvidia GTX280 graphics with a dedicated 1GB of DDR3 memory ensure that supreme quality and really fast graphics is delivered. Either Windows XP or Windows Vista can be chosen to run as the platform. A 17 inch screen which sports a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels is also featured.
A long line-up of connections and ports are built into this work-station as well. There are 4 USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire port, a mini PCI slot, an ExpressCard slot, an S-Video output, an Ethernet connector, a DVI-D port, a VGA port, microphone and headphone jacks. The Novatech X90 Clevo Multimedia and Gaming Laptop is a heavy beast, with a weight of 5.4 kg. Therefore it is not very portable. You can sit in your den and spend your leisure playing your favourite games or watching the flicks. The X90 GTX carries a price tag of £2356.35 while the X90 GTX Pro is priced at around £2643.85.

New MSI 14″ Gaming Notebook

The MSI GX403 Notebook is the new gaming mobile computer from the Taiwan based netbook manufacturer. Unlike many of the giant gaming laptops, this one is smaller with a 14.1” screen. MSI had displayed the GT725 17″ gaming laptop at CeBIT earlier this year. The Intel Core 2 Duo processor is used for handling internal operations. Supplementing this processor for high speed performance is a 4GB DDR2 RAM. For taking care of graphics, there is the GeForce GT 130M GPU which uses 256MB of RAM memory. A 500GB hard drive is also present in this gaming notebook. Another impressive feature of this portable PC is the Blu Ray drive that has been packed into it. Just slip in your favourite Blu Ray disc and watch movies on the 1280 x 800 pixels screen. Moreover, the Turbo Drive Engine technology that has been implemented into this workstation promises to deliver an enhanced gaming experience.
High definition pictures from other HD sources can be viewed by connecting them to the HDMI link of this small laptop. There is as well a VGA port present in this device. 2 USB ports, a card reader, an ExpressCard and a USB/eSATA combination port are also built into this machine. Even a web camera is integrated into this gaming device.

Samsung R720 Laptop

Portability is not the only thing that people look for in laptops. Sometimes, consumers also need a perfect desktop replacement, which is big enough for suiting multimedia needs and mobile too. Samsung has done just that with their new Samsung R720 17” Laptop.
This multimedia mobile computer is armed with the ATI Mobility Radeon HD4650 graphics chip for handling motion pictures. This uses about 512MB or 1GB of DDR3 RAM, that has been dedicated for graphics, to bring about powerful 3D graphics processing. You can watch movies or play games on the 17.3” LED back-lit widescreen display. The 3D SRS audio from the stereo speakers go hand in hand with the impressive visuals. The other operations are handled by an Intel dual core processor which uses the Intel Centrino 2 technology. The operating system employed is the Windows Vista Home Premium.
Information on the ports and connectors available in this workstation is still a little misty. The only revelation is the presence of 4 USB v2.0 ports, a USB/eSATA combo port and a card reader. There is even a USB port for charging electronic devices like MP3 player or mobile phone, even when the laptop is turned off. A Blu Ray disc drive is as well built into this portable PC.
The keyboard of this machine, has a separate numeric keypad too, just like desktop computer keyboards. The keys are also protected with an anti-bacterial coating. The Samsung R720 Multimedia Laptop is expected to hit the market in July for a price of about £599, which is quite reasonable for a laptop of this size.
