Marks & Spencer are one of the UK’s ace high-street fashion brands. After all the stylish clothing, furniture and even software, they are now trying their hands at netbook-making. This fashion-inspired netbook is made in 3 different hues – navy blue, bright pink and sultry black. A regular set of features and specifications are offered by the netbook, nothing out of the usual. The Intel Atom N270 processor handles all internal processing, at a clock speed of 1.6GHz. While many of the netbooks and notebooks have already moved on to Windows Vista and even Windows 7, the M&S netbook has still stuck to old grandpa Windows XP. It is equipped with a 1GB DDR2 RAM and a 160GB hard drive.

The MSNB-2009 sports a 10.2″ TFT widescreen LCD with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. The Intel GMA 950 GPU with 2D/3D accelerator is employed for taking care of graphics processing. There are 2 integrated speakers with HD audio as well. You can browse the internet, email, access social communities, chat with IM, upload/download files and more either using WiFi or wired Gigabit LAN.

Connecting to external gadgets can be done using the 3 USB ports of this netbook. An external monitor can be linked with also, with the VGA port housed in this device. The audio jacks (headphone and microphone) are aboard the Marks and Spencer netbook as well. Memory expansion and information exchange can be achieved using the various memory cards, which can be read with the 7-in-1 card reader. A 1.3MP web camera is packed in this portable PC too. This 1.2kg workstation is powered by a 6-cell battery.

The price of the MSNB-2009 Webbook netbook is £279.
