The HP Mini 2140 10.1 Inch Netbook from HP’s 2100 series is claimed to suit the needs of business users. The netbook runs on a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor and weighs about 1.2kg. The user can choose either a solid-state of 80GB or a hard disk drive of 160GB. It also has optional Bluetooth 2.0, an HP USB optical drive, decent HP Mobile Audio Speakers powered by USB and a keyboard that is 92 percent of a regular QWERTY keyboard that is wide and comfortable to use. The keyboard is spill-resistant and the mouse is easy to handle due to the rubberised mouse buttons.
The HP Mini 2140 Intel Core Netbook has a RAM of 1GB and uses Wi-Fi. The netbook supports SDHC flash card reader and has two USB ports, VGA-out and an ethernet jack. The LED display of the Mini 2140 is backlit and has a resolution of 1024 x 576 pixels. According to HP, the Mini 2140 Netbook can charge up to 90 percent within 90 minutes. You can go for a six-cell battery or a three-cell battery, accordingly and HP also claims that the netbook will last for four hours with the three-cell battery and double of that using the six-cell battery.
The netbook is sleek, measuring about 27×262x165mm and is also sturdy for it can withstand sudden movements thanks to the 3D DriveGuard that parks the hard drive prior to any shock or drop. To be launched this month, the HP Mini 2140 is indeed a decent and compact package.
