MSI Wind X-Slim X320 Notebook

The MSI X-Slim Series Notebooks attracted good attention at CeBIT 2009, Hannover. These notebooks have shaken the ground of Apple MacBook Air, in being the slimmest notebook, with a thinckness of 0.7”. MSI Wind X-Slim X320 Notebook and MSI Wind X-Slim X340 Notebook are 2 of these ultra-slim, ultraportable small laptops.
The MSI Wind X-Slim X320 UMPC comes with a unique set of specifications. The Intel Atom Z530 1.6GHz processor forms the CPU of this mobile computer. The Intel GMA500 graphics card has been employed for handling graphics and videos. A DDR2 RAM of 2GB capacity is present in this mini laptop. The hard drive on board has a storage space of 250GB. The Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium OS comes pre-installed in this portable PC. A 13.4” 1366 x 768 pixels screen is featured which presents a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9.
The interesting part is that the MSI X-Slim X320 optionally offers WiMAX support as well, along with the regular WiFi and wired Ethernet capability. It is Bluetooth compatible too. High speed 3G internet accessing is supported also. The ports and interfaces housed in this ultramobile PC include 3 USB ports, a headphone jack, a microphone jack, a 2-in-1 card reader, an Ethernet socket and a VGA link. A 1.3 Megapixel camera has been built into this mobile PC as well.
A good battery life is expected from this notebook PC. If the 8-cell battery is opted for, then this device can also give up to 10 hours of run-time. In 3 eye-catching colours – silver, black and white, the MSI Wind X-Slim X320 Apple MacBook Air Killer, seems all set to be served hot in the market. It is expected to cost about $700. That would be £460 approximately. There is no information of a UK release yet.
MSI Wind X-Slim X340 Notebook

MSI Wind X-Slim X340 Ultraportable Notebook PC is the new “Apple” of the market’s eye. Yes, the pun is definitely intended as this ultramobile PC is slim, giving competition to the Apple Macbook Air. Weighing just about 1.3kg, makes it ultralight as well.
The 13.4” TFT LED backlit widescreen display of this notebook employs the Vivid Image Enhancement technology for better image displays. The resolution offered might seem a bit low in this age of HD displays - 1366 x 768 pixels. However, there is an HDMI link on board this notebook for connecting to high definition monitors for viewing HD content. Other connections include 3 USB ports and a 2-in-1 card reader.
Internal operations are handled by the Intel Core 2 Solo processor. This processor consumes less power in contrast with other Intel processors. Moreover, it is one of the important factors for the ultra-slim figure of this UMPC. The graphics card incorporated is the Intel GMA4500MHD. A 2GB RAM and a 320GB hard drive are also present in this mini laptop. The operating system employed is Microsoft Windows Vista. On the networking front, this device is WiFi, wired ethernet and Bluetooth ready. A 1.3 Megapixel web camera is present in this small laptop too.
MSI Wind X-Slim X340 13.4” Ultramobile PC was one of MSI’s eye catching displays at CeBIT 2009, held in Hannover, Germany. This portable computer is priced at about £859 and includes a separate Blu-ray disc player in the package. Draped in either piano black, brushed silver or pearl white garbs, this notebook will be meeting the market shelves sometime in June 2009.

MSI Megabook GT627 Notebook is ideal for gaming with all its powerful internal components and high resolution display. The Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz processor has been employed for the internal processing of this device. The Mobile Intel PM45 Express chipset has also been incorporated in it. For graphics, the NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GS has been used and a whole 1GB memory has been dedicated to graphics. The maximum capacity of RAM that this laptop supports is 4GB. The hard drive has a humongous storage space of 500GB. Memory expansion slots are present too. The Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium OS comes pre-loaded in this notebook.

MSI Wind U115 10″ Notebook offers some of the most wanted specifications that put in the top rank among notebooks. The best and most striking features of this notebook are its battery life and its storage options. This MSI Netbook has been powered by a 9-cell battery, which is powerful enough to provide a life of more than 10 hours. The latest in the MSI Wind family is the MSI Wind U110 Eco 10″ Netbook. The speciality of this mini laptop is its 9 hours of battery life. That makes this netbook suitable for mobile computing during long journeys. This little notebook presents a 10 inch LCD screen which has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The central processing unit of this device consists of the Intel Atom Z530 processor which has a speed of 1.6GHz. The Intel Poulsbo US15W chipset along with the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 500 have also been incorporated. The ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3200 graphics card has been employed as well.
