Camangi Webstation Tablet PC

The soon to be launched Camangi Webstation Tablet PC is a multipurpose device. It can meet all your netbook needs - surfing the net, listening to music, watching videos etc. Apart from this, it can even become your digital photo frame. The stand on its rear lets it stay upright. It can reportedly be used as an e-book reader as well.
A 7-inch 800 x 480 pixels screen is sported. It is touch-sensitive and made of glass. This tablet PC runs on the Android 1.5 operating system.
Surf the internet, download or upload files, watch online videos, keep in touch with friends through social networks. This tablet PC supports WiFi. GPS functionality is offered by this device too. Finding places in your city, on the large touchscreen will thus be easy. A 0.3MP web camera makes for video chats. A USB port and a microSD card slot allow data sharing with other compatible devices. The latter also helps expand memory.
The Camangi Webstation Tablet PC is making its way to the US market during December. It has been priced at $399. A UK release has not been announced yet.
Toshiba JournE Touch Internet Tablet

Toshiba JournE Touch Mobile Internet Device is a touchscreen tablet, which lets you surf the internet, stay active on the social networks, watch videos, photographs and share them. The best part is - this MID can play HD videos.
It has a 7″ display with LED backlight and a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. With an aspect ratio of 16:9 this monitor delivers a widescreen viewing experience. The intuitive user interface of this screen is supposed to make this tablet a very user friendly device. All this is enclosed in an aluminium case. Watch videos directly on the screen of the JournE or use the HDMI port of this device to connect to a high definition LCD TV or Plasma TV, when you have a big audience. A headset socket is present in this tablet as well.
This mobile internet device is powered internally by the WinCE 6.0 Pro operating system and works on the ARM processor. A wide range of audio and video file formats are supported by this OS. Internally there is a 1GB Nand flash storage. There is support for a multi-card reader too, which includes SDHC upto 32GB, MMC, MS, MS Pro and xD. Sharing data with the PC and other devices can be done via the USB port and the mini USB port. Even the cards can be used for this purpose.
Surfing the internet can be done using the Internet Explorer 6.0 browser at WiFi hotspots. Social networking websites like YouTube, Facebook, Flickr, Picasa and more can be accessed on the JournE, just out of the box. You can even access Acetrax, for video-on-demand and for downloading & streaming movies. Chatting with MSN Messenger is possible as well. The 3.5G capability of this mobile internet device, will allow speedy internet activities.
The Toshiba JournE MID boasts of a 14-hour battery life while surfing the web pages and about 2-2.5 hours for HD video playing. Apparently, this gadget will be all set for a release, perhaps with Christmas Offers and Deals, later on this quarter, and might cost 250 Euro.
HP EliteBook 2730P Notebook

HP EliteBook 2730P 12” Notebook is one of HP’s touchscreen convertible notebooks. It sports a 12.1” touch-sensitive monitor, which has a native resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. This small laptop has a stylus accompanying it in the package and the screen responds to touches from the stylus only. With the Illumi-Lite antiglare feature this display allows comfortable viewing, cutting down external reflections. Wide viewing angles are offered as well. The screen is also highly sensitive to the stylus, and can sense it immediately when brought close to it. The hand-writing recognition feature works well on the HP EliteBook 2730P too.
The processor employed for executing applications on this notebook PC is the Intel Core 2 Duo SL9400 processor which clocks at 1.86GHz. A 3GB RAM is present in this mobile computer as well. Memory upgradation up to 8GB is possible too. A 120GB hard drive has been built into this convertible netbook. Graphics and video processing is handled by the Mobile Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics card of this portable PC. The Microsoft Windows XP Tablet Edition is installed as the software platform on this tablet.
Like most of the other notebooks, the 2730P supports wired ethernet connection, WiFi and Bluetooth. The other ports and interfaces that are present in this mini laptop are – 2 USB ports, a VGA connection, a headphone jack, a microphone jack, a Firewire port, an ExpressCard slot, an SD card reader and an Ethernet connection.
Sleek and handsome, the HP EliteBook 2730P Touchscreen Notebook, does come with quite a heavy price tag – about £1300. However, you can really be sure of good durability and performance with this convertible notebook.

One glance at the HP TouchSmart TX2 Notebook PC and you’ll know that clothes are not the only ones who can have the fashionable designer touch to them. This slim, high-gloss titanium coloured notebook, with imprinted designs all around, surely does kindle awe in every on-lookers heart. As the name suggests, this is a multi-touch screen notebook, with a 12.1” widescreen high definition display. This monitor can swivel around and fold over to make a tablet too. You can then use a digital pen to draw on it. With just 2 fingers you can even scroll through photographs, watch videos, play songs, expand or contract the view and more. While you do all this, the MediaSmart software works beneath the screen to accomplish the tasks.
Connect to the internet at hotspots and local wireless networks with the WiFi ability of this touchscreen laptop. Being Bluetooth capable, this convertible notebook allows wireless connectivity with other Bluetooth enabled devices. Click pictures, shoot video clips or chat face to face with near and dear ones with the web-camera that has been built into this tablet PC. A 5-in-1 digital media reader is built into this mobile computer too, for connecting your phone or camera, for file transfers. There is a finger-print reader for security of your data, which is located on the right hand rim of the screen panel. A very thoughtful idea indeed. Some laptops have their finger-print readers placed on the palm rests. This is quite annoying as it gives a pop-up window every time you accidentally swipe your hand over the reader while typing. The HP TouchSmart TX2 Touchscreen Convertible Notebook, thus offers a good range of features, making it an ideal family multi-media laptop.

Kohjinsha SC3 Ultra-portable Tablet PC packs in a good number of features, despite being a 7” netbook. The other 7 inchers that the market has seen are:- Samsung Q1EX-71G ultra-mobile PC, Samsung NP-Q1U Laptop and HTC Shift. The most striking feature of this tablet PC is its touch screen, which can be operated either with a stylus or the finger-tips. This convertible netbook allows you to rotate the screen and fold it over the keyboard, to use like an internet tablet. The resolution that this display offers is an appreciable 1024 x 600 pixels.
On the technical front, this small laptop uses the Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz processor for internal operations. It ships with a 1GB RAM, which can be upgraded to a maximum of 2GB as well. A 60GB hard drive storage space is available too. The operating system that comes pre-installed with this ultra-mobile netbook is the Windows Vista Home Premium.
This tablet PC lets you connect to the internet using its WiFi capability. Hence you can browse the web, when in WiFi hotspots. Wireless data transfer can be achieved with the Bluetooth compatibility of this UMPC too. A GPS receiver has also been integrated into it for helping you out with understanding your surroundings better. The GrandMap PC Navi software is loaded into this mini laptop as well. However, this software caters to the navigational needs inside Japan only.
Another commendable feature of this highly portable computer is the 1Seg TV antenna that has been built into it for TV signal reception. Thus this netbook doubles for a mobile TV too. However, this feature also seems to be feasible in Japan only. The other connections that are present in this little laptop are - 3-in-1 memory card slots, ExpressCard/34, 2 Kensington locks, 2 USB 2.0 ports, a VGA port, headphone and microphone jacks. There is a 1.3 Megapixel camera integrated into this tablet as well.
Small, compact and light, weighing just 798g, the Kohjinsha SC3 Touchscreen Convertible Netbook, comes in either black or white cases, and seems to be equipped with all essentials that make an ideal ultra-portable PC.
