The Dell Inspiron 15Z 15.6” Laptop is a slim and stylish desktop replacement. With a thickness of just 1” and a weight of 2.17kg, this laptop seems like a paradigm of ‘style meets portability’. This mobile computer is quite similar to the Dell Inspiron 13Z Notebook in terms of its specifications, except that it is slightly bigger.

The Dell Inspiron 15Z sports a 15.6” widescreen display which presents a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The Intel Core 2 Duo ULV SU7300 processor with a clock speed of 1.3GHz sits in the heart of this workhorse. This is backed by a 4GB DDR3 RAM, that can be upgraded to 6GB too. A 7-in-1 media card reader is housed in this device as well for memory extension. A 320GB hard drive ships with this machine. A DVD R/W drive also comes integrated within this portable PC. The Windows 7 operating system is pre-loaded in this laptop. The ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330 processor is responsible for the graphics processing in this device.

Dell Inspiron 15Z supports WiFi as well as Gigabit Ethernet for internet connectivity. Optionally Bluetooth capability is offered too. There are 3 USB ports for inter-connectivity with other devices. A VGA port and an HDMI port are both available for hooking on to bigger monitors. A 1.3MP video camera has been built into this workhorse also. Stereo speakers and dual microphones have been fitted in as well.

The workstation ships with a 6-cell battery, which offers a decent battery life. The Dell Inspiron 15Z Ultra-slim Laptop is available in a glossy black case. You can also get an attractive cherry red one, with the laptop offer costing you an additional £35. The base version deal of this laptop costs about £694.
