What strikes you most about the Dell Inspiron 1750 Laptop is its price. It is quite surprising that a desktop replacement like this one has managed to keep its cost below €600. Internally this laptop computers is powered by the Intel Pentium Dual Core T4200 2 GHz processor. Assisting this processor in enhancing speed is a 4GB RAM. For the hard drive you can opt for a 320GB capacity drive or a 500GB one. An optical DVD drive is packed in too. The operating system that runs on this laptop is the Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic edition. Graphics is handled by the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500HD.
This laptop has a 17.3” screen which presents a resolution of 1600×900 pixels. It has a glossy surface. The ports and interfaces housed in this device include 3 USB ports, a VGA port, a headphone jack, a microphone jack, an ExpressCard slot, a VGA connector, a Kensington lock and a 7-in-1 card reader. It has integrated high definition audio as well. A 1.3 Megapixel web camera is present in this laptop too, for allowing video calls. High definition audio is also integrated into this multimedia laptop.
WiFi or Ethernet connectivity offer internet access. Even Bluetooth is supported. At a weight of 3.8kg, this device is not very travel-friendly. It will be better off, on your desk. The battery life for normal internet surfing is about 3 hours. For entertainment applications, like playing a DVD, a lower life is offered. In attractive shades of either black or cherry red or ice blue, the Dell Inspiron 1750 Multimedia Laptop surely is a treat for the eye.

THIS SOUNDS LIKE THE 17″ LAPTOP MACHINE FOR ME. But: I cannot get any clear and direct answer from the Dell chat room as to whether uninstalling Vista and replacing it with XP is likely to cause any problems at all. I presume it is wireless interconnected for a router. Can anyone help on this?
