Dell Inspiron 1764 Laptop

The Dell Inspiron 1764 laptop like most Dell laptops allows a high degree of customisation with various options.

This 17.3″ screen workstation offers a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. Not the ultimate resolution available on the market. But on a more positive note – look at the price! It will not really pinch your pocket when compared to some of those high-spec’ed 17.3-inchers available these days. Moreover, there’s an HDMI port in the Dell Inspiron 1764, which will let you connect to a higher resolution television. Most of the configurations ship with a DVD read/write drive. Only one configuration, which is also the most expensive among the lot, ships with an integrated Blu Ray drive.

The Intel Core i3 and i5 processors have been used in the various configurations that are available. While the Core i3 processor is clocked at 2.13GHz, the Core i5 is faster at 2.26GHz or 2.4GHz. Plus, the Core i5 processor can be boosted to 2.53GHz or 2.93GHz (respectively) as well. For the graphics processor, either the Intel GMA HD or the ATI Mobility Radeon GPU has been employed.

Memory front – The RAM can either have a capacity of 3GB or 4GB. The hard drive capacity options available are 256GB, 320GB and 500GB. A multi-format card reader also helps in expanding memory.

This Windows 7 machine comes in an obsidian black garb and weighs 3.2kg. WiFi and an RJ-45 connection allow internet connectivity. N WiFi and Bluetooth are only sported on the most expensive model, while the rest of them get just G WiFi. Apart from the HDMI, the other interfaces present are 4 USB ports, a VGA port, a microphone jack and a headphone jack.

The Dell Inspiron 1764 price ranges from £449 to £799. All laptop offers come with a 1 year coverage, presently.
