Dell Vostro 1220 12″ Laptop is a highly portable laptop, owing to its light weight and long battery life. Many of the ultraportable laptops that are currently available in the market usually sacrifice a large screen, inorder to keep the entire unit small and light. However, the Dell Vostro 1220 has a relatively large 12” 1280 x 800 pixels widescreen display. Yet Dell has managed to keep the weight of this device well within 1.52kg.
Coming to the technical specifications of this laptop – the CPU consists of an Intel Core 2 Duo T9900 3.06GHz Processor. Microsoft Windows Vista has been employed as the operating system. The RAM (DDR2 SDRAM) housed in this notebook can have a maximum capacity of 8GB. For videos and gaming, the Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500MHD has been incorporated. For the primary storage, you can opt for a hard drive of up to 500GB capacity or a solid state drive of 128GB capacity. There is an optical drive integrated into this mobile computer too. You can as well opt for a Blu Ray drive.
On the connectivity front, there are a VGA connector, an Ethernet connector, 3 USB 2.0 ports, a headphone jack, a microphone jack, a 3-in-1 card reader, an ExpressCard slot and a Kensington lock. WiFi and wired Ethernet connectivity allow internet access with this portable PC. Bluetooth wireless transfers are supported too. Even a 1.3 Megapixel web camera for video calls is built into this laptop. Almost 9 hours of battery life is promised by this workstation as well.
