Durabook S13Y Laptop PC is a rugged notebook made by Durabook. It comes with the following features
- Magnesium alloy case – 20 times stronger than ABS plastic, offering higher survival rate.
- Anti-shock mounting design protects LCD screen and hard disk drive from damage and data loss.
- Flexible HDD cable design absorbs shock from drops.
- Spill resistant keyboard, touchpad and buttons.
- Exclusive Optical disk tray lock prevent unintentional tray eject from drop and vibration.
- Double protection smart battery circuitry prevents damage caused by current or voltage surges and overheating.
- It is available in black and silver combination.
- It weighs 2.6 kg with 6-cell battery and the dimensions are 31.25cm (W) X 25.7cm (D) X 3.6~3.83cm (H).
Processor Type
This laptop uses Intel centrino Duo Core mobile technology. This processor is designed exclusively for notebook users. This technology gives good performance even while working on the battery. You would not feel the difference that you are actually working on battery.

- Intel Core Duo processor with Front Speed Bus (FSB) 667MHz and 2MB L2 Cache

Hard disk capacity
Durabook S13Y Wireless Laptop comes with two types of hard disks SATA (serial- ATA) and PATA (Parallel- ATA) with 2.5" in width and 9.5 mm in height. The Hard Disk features anti-shock proof that provides safety during transportation. It is shipped with 60/80/100GB PATA 100 or SATA 150 (factory option).
RAM type
This notebook comes with two Dual Channel DDR II SODIMM Slots each for 512MB/1GB/2GB (Max. 4GB). The clock speed of the memory is 533/667
Chipset and System BIOS
It comes with either Intel’s North Bridge 945GM Express or Intel’s South Bridge ICH7-M chipset. The BIOS supplied is from AMI BIOS.
Display, Video, and Graphics
This notebook comes with 13.3" TFT LCD with WXGA resolution 1280 x 800 dpi resolution. S13Y has a built in Intel 945GM graphics card. This card has enhancements for AGP BUS equivalent hardware 2D/3D video graphic accelerators. It has a shared system memory up to 128MB.

Battery capacity
Durabook S13Y Notebook comes with a standard 6 cells 4400mAh Li-Ion battery that lasts up to 3.5hrs and an optional 9 cells 6600mAh Li-Ion battery that can last up to 5 hours.

It comes with a standard keyboard with 85 keys and a standard touch pad.
