Elonex laptops are known for their affordability. The Elonex Websurfer Netbook is one of their budget mobile computers, which is unique in design. Even the wildest guesses might not be close to how this netbook really looks. This device comes with a built-in VOIP handset. This handset fits into a small compartment beside the screen.
Talking about the screen, this netbook has a 7” TFT display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Taking a peek into the tech-specs – this portable PC employs the Via C7-M 1.2GHz processor. A 1GB RAM is present, along with a 30GB hard drive. The graphics processor used is the Via S3G UniChrome Pro II IGP. The Windows XP Home edition comes pre-installed in this device.
For connecting to the internet, you can use WiFi in a hotspot or wired Ethernet as well. For linking to other devices, there is Bluetooth available too. There are as well 2 USB ports for connecting to other peripherals. A DVI video output is also packed in this netbook. Even a microphone port and speakers are built-in.
The Elonex Websurfer VOIP Netbook comes in black and silver cases. It weighs just 1kg, which puts it in the ultra-portables’ league. The estimated battery life is 5 hours, which is quite satisfactory. The price of this netbook is £150.
