Fujitsu LifeBook MH380 Netbook
Posted on December 23, 2009
Fujitsu seem like they are concentrating more on making cute ultraportables these days. It was quite recently that we heard about the Fujitsu LifeBook UH900 UMPC, and now a new one has just popped its head into the internet world – the Fujitsu LifeBook MH380 Netbook. With the release of Intel’s new line of processors, many of the laptop makers are now incorporating these into their netbooks. The LifeBook MH380 is Fujitsu’s tryst with Intel’s new Pine Trail processor platform. The netbook features the Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor.
Draped in an attractive glossy ruby-red case, the LifeBook MH380 is quite quick to draw attention. The chrome accents break the red monotony, giving the netbook a classy touch. A 10.1” screen is featured. And the HD resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels is a pleasant surprise. The device weighs about 1.3kg. The netbook is also supposed to be available in brown, black and white coloured cases.
On the inside, the mini notebook is equipped with a 1GB RAM (upgradable to 2GB), a 250GB hard drive (Impressive!) and is driven by the Windows 7 OS. The connectors housed in it include a USB port, a VGA port, an Ethernet connector, a headphone jack and a microphone jack. A web-cam is present too for live video chatting. Apart from the wired Ethernet connection, internet connectivity can as well be achieved at WiFi hotspots. Bluetooth is also supported. A 6-cell battery powers up the unit and a life of 7 hours is quoted.
The Fujitsu LifeBook MH380 Pine Trail Platform Netbook has been priced at $449 (~ GBP 281). There has been no mention of a UK release yet.
