Fujitsu M2010 Netbook

Red and black colour combination for laptops has been a kind of mantra with many laptop manufacturers lately. And why not! This colour merge, gives the mobile computers a sporty attractive look. The Fujitsu M2010 10” Netbook is the new red and black combo netbook that was released earlier this month. Apart from these hues, there is a whitish curved design on the lid too.

Moving on to the technical features, this portable PC is internally powered by the Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor. A 1GB DDR2 RAM is integrated into this netbook. This can be expanded to a maximum of 2GB too. The hard drive has a capacity of 160GB. The Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition has been employed for the operating system. This mini laptop has a 10.1” 1024 x 575 pixels LED-back-lit screen. The Intel GMA 950 graphics has as well been integrated for handling videos and games.

The Fujitsu M2010 supports both WiFi (802.11 b/g) as well as Ethernet connectivity for internet access. Bluetooth wireless data transfer is supported too. A 4-in-1 card reader, 3 USB ports, a VGA connector, a headphone socket and a microphone jack are all present on-board this device. Stereo speakers have also been integrated into this small laptop. Even a 1.3 Megapixel web camera has been built into this mobile PC for video chatting.

Battery life of this portable PC is however slightly disappointing. Only about 2 hours of life is delivered by a 3-cell battery. The Fujitsu M2010 ultramobile Netbook has been mainly designed for multimedia usage. Good brightness levels and wide viewing angles are expected to be offered. It is priced at $449 in the US. A UK release has not yet been mentioned.
