This tablet PC has a 10.1 inch touch screen, which can swivel around. You can use your finger tips to operate on this touch sensitive screen. The CPU of this mini laptop consists of the powerful Intel N280 Atom processor which has a speed of 1.66 GHz. This netbook also supports up to 2GB of RAM. The hard drive on board has a maximum capacity of 250GB. The Intel graphics chipset has been incorporated into this mobile PC as well. For the battery that powers this notebook, you have an option between a 4 cell 4500mAh battery or 6 cell 7650mAh battery. The operating system that runs on this netbook is the Windows XP Home Edition.

Networking aspects include support for 3.5G wireless broadband, WiFi and WiMAX. Bluetooth connectivity can be opted for as well. On the connections front, this portable PC offers the following:-

  • ExpressCard slots
  • 3 USB 2.0 ports
  • Microphone jack
  • Earphone jack
  • D-Sub connection
  • RJ45 connection
  • 4-in-1 card reader which can read MMC, SD, MS and MS Pro
  • Kensington Security Slot

There are 2 1.5W speakers integrated into this laptop too. A 1.3 Megapixel camera is available as well. This convertible netbook, also referred to as the Gigabyte M1028 Cafebook, offers great portability owing to its small and compact design and light weight of just over 1kg. According to news, there are 4 versions of this netbook being released – M1028M, M1028G, M1028X and M1028P. While the first 2 offer display resolutions of 1024 x 600 pixels, the second 2 offer 1366 x 768 pixels.
