The HP Envy 15 Laptop is a 15.6″ screen entertainer. It is comparable to the MSI GT640 and the Deviltech Devil 9700 DTX laptops in terms of specs and price as well. Currently, this notebook costs about £1,199.
The HP Envy 15 is a Windows 7 workhorse, driven by the Intel Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz processor. The graphics is handled by the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4830 processor. A 4GB DDR3 RAM, 320GB hard drive and a DVD read/write drive are packed within. The screen presents a high definition resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Stereo Altec Lancing speakers are built in too.
This entertainer can also take care of your social life. Hopping on to the internet, emailing, updating your social networks and keeping in touch with buddies, can all be done. Either a wired Gigabit LAN connection or Wifi can be used for this purpose. An integrated web-cam is present aboard for video chats too. Interfacing with other gadgets is possible with the 3 USB ports housed in this workstation. One of these ports can double as an eSATA port as well. Even a HDMI output for linking to the bigger TVs, is present. Memory expansion can be achieved with the 2-in-1 card reader of this notebook. There are the regular audio jacks built in also. This 2.35kg device is backed by a 6-cell battery. The life you can expect is about 2.5 hours.
Though, the features and specifications of the HP Envy 15 Notebook are quite impressive, the price does seem a little too high. There are other laptops, like the Dell Studio 1557 and the Dell Inspiron 15Z, which offer near about similar specs and are more reasonably priced. If you’re really looking for a highly budget friendly laptop, and do not mind compromising on specs, then the Samsung R519 and the Advent Roma 3000 are some machines you can consider.

Wow, that's pretty sad. They design this half decent notebook, and they forget to put in a disk drive.? So they give you an external one. Wow.
