The HP G61-110Sa Notebook is a 15.6″ screen laptop, with features that you would normally expect in any notebook its size. So it is quite mediocre in this aspect. But the sizzling hot news is that, it is currently offered by mobile broadband provider, 3, with their mobile broadband deal for FREE! Otherwise if you wish to buy this notebook you’ll be spending about £399. Quite a reasonable laptop deal.
The Intel Pentium Dual Core T4300 processor with a speed of 2.1GHz is assigned the duty of executing the tasks in this laptop. This Windows 7 based device ships with a 4GB RAM and a 320GB hard drive. A 5-in-1 card reader also allows for memory expansion.
Visual signals and graphics processing are handled by the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD. Though not the ultimate player in its field, this GPU can play HD videos. The widescreen BrightView LCD with LED backlight also contributes to displaying bright and clear videos. There’s a super-multi DVD drive for reading and writing, packed within this workstation too.
If you want to watch movies on the bigger high definition televisions (LCD or plasma), you can do so, using the HDMI output of this notebook as well. There is also a VGA port for linking with external monitors. Other peripherals can be connected using the 3 USB 2.0 ports that are present in this device.
Your internet life is taken care of by a Gigabit LAN connection or WiFi. Bluetooth is however, not supported, which is the case with most similar sized laptops. This 2.68kg workstation has a 6-cell battery feeding it with power. The life you can expect is around 2 hours. Therefore the HP G61-110Sa Laptop is more a homely device, which does not really like travelling much.
