The HP Mini 311 Notebook PC is the first of its kind to feature a powerful graphics processor. This 11.6” screen laptop carries the NVIDIA ION LE platform within. With a high definition resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and the skill of the graphics processor, this notebook promises clean HD video playback. You can also play those hefty demanding games on this mobile PC. NVIDIA claim that the graphics performance in this device will be 10 times better than that offered by other netbooks. Walking hand in hand with the leading edge visual performance is the audio with the Altec Lancing speakers.
The processor used here is the Intel Atom N280 which has a clock speed of 1.66GHz. This not so fast processor, seems like a bump on the highway after you’ve just ‘wowed’ about the integrated graphics. The notebook ships with a 1GB RAM. In order to increase processing speed you can upgrade this to 3GB at the most. The hard drive offers 160GB of space to store your files. This notebook PC will be nased on the Windows 7 operating system.
Wireless connectivity 802.11 b/g is supported by this portable computer. Bluetooth compatibility is present too. Even Ethernet LAN connectivity is offered. There are 3 USB ports for interfacing with peripherals as well. Audio jacks for microphone and headphone are also integrated.
