2010 Might Prove To Be Very Eventful For Google

January 5, 2010

google-diversifying - LaptopReviews.org.ukThe Google Chrome browser is said to be more used by people across the globe when compared to Apple’s Safari, according to a survey conducted in December 2009.

The Microsoft’s Internet Explorer still hails the number one position with almost 62.69% of the users sticking to it. Mozilla Firefox comes in second with 24.61%. Till now Apple Safari had held the third position. But, the study revealed that Google Chrome browser has beat Safari by a small but considerable margin. While the Google browser bagged 4.63%, the Apple’s browser follows close behind with 4.46%.

It has been reported by The Telegraph that the keywords - “Google Chrome”, “Google browser” and “Chrome” have been some of the popular online searches and in mid-December this has even doubled. Plenty of laptop and PC users are said to have downloaded the browser and switched to using it as well.

According to Google, the success of the browser lies in its speed and stability. It gives plenty of space for the web page content, while taking up very little for the browser tabs and window itself.

Google will soon be getting out their own operating system for laptops (also titled Chrome) and mobile phone (called Nexus One) too. So, 2010, is going to turn out to be very eventful for Google.
