UK citizens have welcomed the Apple iPad with mixed reactions. While some were extremely pleased to have the gadget, there are others who don’t really want to buy the gadget.

A Twitter user has a very creative way of depicting his feelings when he got the iPad.
Many people are quite excited with the new buy. However some are disappointed by the cost of the iPad in the UK, which is more than that in the US.
The first person who got the iPad in the UK, Jake Lee, seemed pretty excited about the shiny new gadget. He along with his acquaintances are said to have waited since Thursday noon before the Apple Store to get the tablet. More on Absolute Radio.
Some people do not want to ditch their MacBook and iPhone for a gadget that cannot justify how it can replace the former 2 devices. The lack of support for Adobe Flash and multi-tasking and sparse connectivity are major reasons quoted by many people for not giving the Apple tablet another thought.
Wired and Recombu have listed a set of apps that would be interesting for downloading on the iPad.
BBC highlights how the Apple iPad compares with its rivals.
Amidst all the splendour of the iPad in the UK, the news of increasing suicides in Foxconn Technology, a Chinese company that makes hardware for Apple and other companies like Nokia and Sony, is shocking. 9 suicides have been reported in a span of 5 months. The company is said to be taking steps like getting counsellors for helping people get rid of mental stress. 30 Buddhist monks have reportedly been called to pray for the souls of the dead.
