Apple iPad UK Release Date…. Still a Mystery!

Yes! The Apple iPad has created a great stir after its release in the US. However, on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, in the UK, consumers are still awaiting the tablet in anticipation (with great expectations…. craving and itching to touch it…). But apart from mentioning a launch time of ‘late April’, Apple has not confirmed exact dates yet!

Speculations are that the 24th of April, 2010, the last Saturday of the month, will be the Apple iPad UK release date.
Why? This news apparently came in from one of the Canadian AAPL staff. Canada too had been given a launch time of ‘late April’. Hence assumptions are that 24 April might be the launch date for the UK too. There are rumours that a UK Apple Store has confirmed this as well. Moreover, another report has it that one of the UK Apple Stores will have additional workers present on the “D” day to attend to the huge sales-demand.

A recent CNET report speculates 26th April, 2010 to be the release date for the Apple iPad in the UK. A popular publisher is supposed to be readying his app for the iPad for a release on this date.

Another Suspense….
An Apple iPad pre-order date has not been revealed too. In the US, advanced ordering was opened 3 weeks before the actual release date.

Apple iPad UK Price
Here again its only speculation speculation and speculation…. The 16GB-WiFi edition is expected to cost £390. The high-end edition i.e. with 64GB-WiFi-3G is expected to be priced at £693.

There are reports that the Apple iPad 3G edition is going to be exclusive to Vodafone, Orange and O2 networks, in the UK.
