It is no secret that Apple is hacked off about the laptop hunter ad that was believed to scathe the image of Apple by emphasizing the pricey tags and the paucity in variety of Apple computers. This much hyped laptop hunter ad features a couple- Olivia and Matt, who along with their baby-Jayden hunt for a large screened laptop that is priced below $700 and features highly durable battery and photo sharing technology. This ad highlights the comparison of features and prices between between Windows based laptops and Apple laptops.

In the recent Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in New Orleans, Microsoft’s CEO-Kevin Turner announced that he received a phone call from Apple’s lawyers, who mentioned that they lowered their prices and wanted the laptop hunters ad to be stopped. And Kevin turner also said “we’ve been running these PC value ads. Just to say people… ‘Hey, what are you looking to spend?’. ‘Oh, I’m looking to spend less than $1,000.’ Well, we’ll give you $1,000. Go in and look and see what you can buy. And they come out and they just show them. Those are completely unscripted commercials. Turner was so excited and turned all witty as he said “I did cartwheels down the hallway”, and “It was the greatest single phone call in the history that I’ve ever taken in business. He also assured that the laptop hunter ad will continue running.
