The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook has been re-modelled once again. This time, to feature the new Intel Atom processor, belonging to the Pine Trail family – the Intel Atom N450, which has a clock speed of 1.66GHz.
Like the original version, this new one too will sport a 10.1” LCD screen with either 1024×600 or 1366×768 pixels resolution. However, the new netbook model is expected to deliver a longer battery life. The mini laptop also supports Broadcom Crystal HD, to enable a good HD performance. The rest of the specifications include a 1GB RAM; a choice between 160GB or 250GB hard drives; integrated speakers with SRS Surround audio; an HDTV tuner; an option for either a 3-cell or a 6-cell battery. The netbook will run one of Windows 7, Windows XP and Ubuntu operating systems.
The new version of Dell Inspiron Mini 10 with the Pine Trail platform will most probably make it to markets in January 2010. A GPS capable model is also expected to launch.
