Dell Latitude 13 – Crafted for Mobility and Performance

Dell have extended their Latitude family to include the new Dell Latitude 13 Notebook, which has been designed for professionals on the move. It is supposed to be highly portable, budget friendly and a good performer as well.

This 13″ screen workstation is also supposed to be the thinnest commercial laptop in the world, and hence the company prefers calling it the “thinbook”. It weighs less than 1.5kg. Price-wise this device will sit in the £400 range.

The Intel CULV processor is said to have been incorporated in this notebook. As such, it is expected to deliver long run times. WiFi as well as 3G compliance will be offered for internet connectivity. Customers can either opt for a hard drive or a 64GB Flash drive.

Some special features of the Dell Latitude are its security options and the pre-installed utilities like Citrix Receiver agent. Full-disk encryption for the hard drive is optionally available. The Citrix Receiver allows using official applications on the Latitude 13 from anywhere. VMware View as well can be pre-loaded for simplifying and automating desktop management.

The Dell Latitude 13 is expected to start shipping by the end of February.
