Digital Britain Laptops Stolen!

Laptop Theft - LaptopReviews.org.ukA couple of laptops have reportedly been stolen from the London’s Soho based Digital Inclusion office. A report in the BBC mentions that the offices had been broken into overnight.

The Digital Inclusion Team has been working on the Digital Britain mission, which plans to provide broadband internet connection to the whole of UK.

Martha Lane Fox, UK’s Digital Champion, has twittered about the theft, mentioning that all the computers have been taken.

Ms Fox, who had been appointed UK’s Digital Champion by the UK government, is responsible for  bringing internet connectivity to about 17 million Britishers, who currently do not have the facility. She also mentioned to the BBC recently that she would initially concentrate on the 6 million financially backset people.
