Firefox Download Count Touches A Milliard
Posted on August 1, 2009
Mozilla Firefox Browser has carved itself a niche when its download count crossed a billion, on 30th night. A dedicated website- onebillionplusyou.com, had been launched by Firefox as a mark of this achievement and this website is expected to go on live by 3rd August. Firefox had already set a world record of 8 million downloads within a period of 24 hours, when its Firefox 3rd version was introduced in 2008.
Recently, Mozilla Firefox is giving a tough fight to Microsoft’s Internet Explorer as it is reaching close to Internet Explorer’s global browser share of 54%, with its approximate global browser share of 30%. It is said that a twitter account was also set up to check the countdown to billion. It is a well known fact that Mozilla Firefox released a latest version – Firefox 3.5 , during the end of June. The downloading rate of Firefox is expected to fall between 15 to 19, per second. Mozilla’s spokesman has stated that Firefox has come a long way from the start and also said that Mozilla is really proud of the milestone.

I WISH YOU WELL ,? I WISH YOU PEACE.
4 million downloads?~
This is pretty much unpatchable, if you change the private key none of the software you currently use will work unless they find a way to patch all? software. I don't really see it as a huge issue because I don't think it's going to have a massive impact in game sales. Where is could be a pain in the arse is if someone starts developing things like aim-bots. At that point the most popular genre of online consoles games will be unplayable on the PS3 and that would be a serious problem.
