HP Pavilion DV2 Laptop Launched in the UK

Hewlett Packard has launched its much hyped HP Pavilion DV2 Ultraporatable Notebook in the UK. The main outlook of the device is that it is neither a pure netbook nor a conventional laptop. It comes with a range of remarkable features as well as a diminutive chassis. The processor that runs the device is the new Athlon Neo processor of AMD.
The DV2′s LED backlit screen that measures up to 12.1 inch diagonally, comes with a display resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. This resolution of its display makes it a HD Ready laptop. The Athlon Neo processor from AMD that powers the device is a CPU that runs at 1.GHz along with an L2 cache of 512KB. The CPU is 64-bit capable as well.
The base model of DV2 that is priced at an exorbitant GBP499 comes with a RAM of 1GB. The hard disk is blessed with a memory of 160GB, and the interface of the device is the Home Basic operating system of Windows. By adding another GBP 100 to the budget, one can acquire a doubled up version of the DV2.
The new DV2 of HP is 33mm thick at its thickest part and weighs about 1.7 kg. This places the device in the distinguished league of laptops consisting of Acer Timeline Laptop and Dell Adamo Notebook. Another interesting feature of the device is its keyboard’s size that is about 92 percent the size of a conventional one.
HP promises a 5 hour battery life for the DV2 that comes with an HDMI slot, a DVI slot and a card reader, apart from 3 USB ports. The external DVD writer of the device can be effectively substituted by a Bluray DVD writer; and finally, an ATI X1250 graphics module is offered by the device that helps in a remarkable video playback.
