Intel Joining Hands With Google For Chrome OS?

Intel’s spokesperson has announced that the concern is working along with google, on Chrome OS. The chip giant has been into the project for a while, without much noise. The details about the collaboration was not given and it was mentioned that it is one of the combined projects with Google. Intel has been busy working on its mobile operating system- moblin (linux based OS), which is designed for mobile internet gadgets, MIDs and netbooks. Intel stated that it is planning to integrate atom processors into smart phones and other mobile phone-based devices so that it would enable the users to use the software that was developed for Pcs, in the mobile phones.
Though Intel has stated that it is working with the Google for its Chrome OS project, Google has not made any inclusion of Intel in its list of the concerns that it is working with, in this Chrome OS project. Chrome OS – the Linux based operating system is designed for people, who base their work completely on the internet. The list of Companies that have joined hands with Google in the Chrome OS project includes Freescale semiconductor, texas instruments, Qualcomm, Acer, HP, and Lenovo.
