Intel’s forth coming laptop chips will support 3D Blu-ray

Intel’s next laptop chips is built to support 3D Blu-ray movies. With the introduction of these chips there will be no requirement for any auxiliary hardware to watch Blu-ray movies.

According to a Intel spokesperson, laptop processors that are designed on the Sandy architecture will both preserve the battery life and also play 3D Blu-ray movies.

The chips that are built on the Sandy architecture will start its production this year. You can expect the PCs that are built with this technology to hit the stores before the half of next year. This Sandy Bridge chips that will be shipped by Intel for the first time will have integrated chips such as CPU and GPU on a single chipset. Although Westmere has CPU and GPU on one silicone base, it is actually on two chips.

About 80 per cent of the chips that are shipped worldwide have Intel chips in the computers as well as the servers. The Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 current generation chips are found in almost all computers worldwide.
