iPad UK Release Delayed by Another Month. Pre-Order Date Out

The Apple iPad UK release date which was supposed to be some time later in April 2010, has now been postponed to late May 2010.
Apple have atleast spared us the suspense and announced the pre-order date on the Apple website. Yes! UK residents can start placing their orders for the tablet on May 10, 2010. Prices are also expected to be announced on this date.
The reason for this delay in the launch outside the US has been stated as the huge demand for the coveted tablet, which has supposedly surpassed Apple’s estimation. However, some experts doubt that Apple is facing some manufacturing issues and hence the delay.
The sales charts for the iPad in the US, do show some whopping figures. Apple is said to have sold 500,000 units in the first week it went on sale.
