Laptop Theft In Flintshire Leaves Student Devastated

A Toshiba laptop that belonged to a 20 year old final year student of Glyndwr University of Wrexham was stolen from her car a few days ago. The car was parked on Talbot Road when the theft occurred.

The young woman had almost three years’ work and information stored in the laptop. There was also a research document in the bag that contained the laptop. The entire bag has been reportedly stolen. The North Wales Police have been alerted and are currently looking into the issue.

The young student is however in a devastated condition. She fears that her degree might be at risk as all her valuable study material and work is lost now. Her thesis document which she is supposed to submit for an exam that is nearing, was running on her laptop when it was stolen. The University has granted her an extra week for redoing the work. But it would be difficult for the young woman, who has lost all hope, to complete so much work within a span of one week. Fellow students have been consoling and helping the bereft with study notes and the research work.

Such unfortunate incidents can be prevented with the use of security mechanisms like the Intel Anti-Theft Technology. Even if the laptop is stolen, it can be made useless to the thief, while also enabling tracking, to find the location of the laptop.
