NVIDIA have already impressed us all with their Tegra platform. And now, they have readied the next generation of their technology – the NVIDIA Tegra 2. The platform will most probably be wooing audience at CES 2010, which is to be held in Las Vegas.
The 2nd generation of Tegra platform is obviously expected to deliver higher speeds when compared to the 1st generation. It is said to be twice as faster. The chip is expected to consume lesser power and thus offer longer lives to netbooks – almost 5 times that offered now.
With NVIDIA Tegra 2, 1080p video playback, desktop-like net browsing with support for flash, accelerated graphics for high speed gaming and more can be achieved. This platform is supposed to be compatible with ARM’s yet to be released processor platform – the ARM Cortex A9. NVIDIA’s new technology will feature in smartbooks, netbooks, MIDs, tablet PCs, the Nintendo DS, even smartphones and more.
