A quarter of the iPad owners in UK keep the tablet at home

Portable Apple tablets are rarely taken by the iPad owners out of their homes. A study was conducted by Cooper Murphy Webb among 1034 UK Apple iPad owners to mainly understand about the usage of their Apple tablets.
About 35% of the iPad owners rarely take the tablet outside the home while 27% of the iPad owners do not even take the tablet out of their home. The survey also shows that more than half of the iPad owners, that is about 62% of them use the tablet within their home.
The study also found that Apple iPads were mainly used for reading purpose. About 31% of the iPad owners prefer to read newspapers and magazines followed by about 26% of the laptop and computer owners. Only 24% of the UK people with the Apple iPad preferred to read the same content in the printed form. Further 41% of the Apple iPad owners preferred to read books on their devices than the other devices.
