Samsung launches Q-Series laptop range

Samsung has launched its Q-Series of laptops but has not yet come out with prices. Keeping in view of the Q530 Series, the three devices targets heavy mobile users and business travellers.

The Q530 Series comes with 1,366 x 768 resolution, 15.6in LED HD screen, aspect ratio of 16:9 and weight of 2.39Kg. This laptop is also built with the latest Nvidia GeForce GT 330M graphics card. The storage space range upto 640GB.

The features of Q-430 are same as Q-530 but the screen size of the Q-430 model is 14in and weighs about 0.3Kg less.

While the HD LED display size of Q-330 is 13.3in and weighs very light 1.97Kg. It is packed with  alternating graphic modes between the  Nvidia GeForce 310M and Intel HD graphics card that are done automatically. According to Samsung, it gives way for upto seven hours on a single charge.

All of the three Samsung laptop models come with a function, Samsung AllShare, that facilitates users to easily share multimedia files with mobile handsets and Samsung cameras using the Digital Living Network Alliance.

The Q-Series models come with Wi-Fi connection that allow laptops to copy images, files, music or share information with other PC. The Q-Series are claimed to have battery life for seven hours with 5,900mAh battery or  six hours with 5,200mAh battery.

This Q-Series is expected to be released later this month along with a launch of Toshiba’s R700 that comes with a display size of 13in and weight of 1.3Kg. This R700 model supports latest chipsets of Intel such as i3, i5 and i7. The battery life of R700 Toshiba model is claimed to be nine hours on a single charge. The R700 model is expected to be in the market in mid July at around £699.

Prices for the Samsung Q-Series are expected to start at £599.
