Posted on October 1, 2009
Haleron Technologies Corp., have developed a netbook called Swordfish Net 102 10.2″ Netbook, which incorporates dual Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processors. This would definitely speed up the processing, but may be at the cost of battery life. The netbook is packed with a 3-cell battery, which is mentioned to deliver a stand-by life of 2-3 hours. This means, you’ll actually get a lower run-time life.

This dual processor netbook has a 2GB DDR2 RAM and a 160GB hard drive. The 10.2″ LCD screen of this portable PC offers a resolution of 1024 * 600 pixels. The operating system that runs in the background is the Windows XP Home edition. The connectivity set presented by this mobile computer include 3 USB ports, a 4-in-1 card reader and an Ethernet port. There are built in speakers and a microphone. Another note-worthy feature of this device is its dual Bluetooth ability. In order to work on the internet, you can use WiFi as well as wired Ethernet. Video chatting is possible too, as this netbook houses a 1.3 Megapixel web camera and is also 3G technology proficient.
The Swordfish Net 102 Dual Processor Netbook measures 252mm * 182mm * 30mm and weighs 1.35kg. It is currently retailing for a price of $449, and the laptop deal includes a 1 year guarantee. The laptop offer is quite tempting at this affordable price. Nothing has been heard about a UK release yet.

Your guide recommends Acer and Toshiba in that range. And they don’t even have Core 2 Duo processors. /cc:
