Western Digital Unveils 1TB Laptop Hard Drive

Western Digital has succeeded in surpassing the hard drive of the largest memory capacity available, with its launch of two laptop drives, namely: the Scorpio Blue 750GB and Scorpio Blue 1TB. These Western Digital laptop drives feature a dimension of 2.5 inches and a thickness of 12.5 mm, which may not be an ideal measurement for perfect placement in all 2.5” hard drive slots of laptops.
It is said that these Scorpio Blue 750GB and Scorpio Blue 1TB hard drives are the first to use 333 GB per platter technology. These scorpio blue drives are also believed to come integrated with a whisper drive that is expected to reduce the noise level, a shock guard that is anticipated to safeguard the device against shocks and a securepark feature that is believed to protect the recording heads. Both these drives are expected to feature 8 MB buffer memory and is supposed to run at 5200 rpm.

you should get a drobo… they back you stuff up on ? mutiple drives and you can never loose data just because one drive dies!!!
