Windows 8 Coming in 2012?
Posted on November 24, 2009
It has just been a month since the Microsoft Windows 7 OS hit markets and made it big. And there are leaked slides showing a Windows 8 coming in 2012 already. Windows 8 is just the codename. So it might actually be called something else when it releases. The best part is that Windows 7 is shown as just a ‘release update’ and Windows 8 is mentioned to be a ‘major release’!
The Windows Servers release calendar, also shows a Windows Server 2008 R2 to release this year.
Almost all newly released laptops and netbooks are now adopting Windows 7 as the software platform. Many of the already released mobile computers have either shifted over to the new OS or are offering upgrades. And Windows 7 is considered just a ‘release update’. We really wonder what the ‘major release’ Windows 8 will do, when it strikes markets in 2012!
