The Windows Black Screen Issue
Posted on December 2, 2009
Many of the Microsoft operating systems are reportedly affected by the new Windows Black Screen problem. These include Windows XP, Vista, the older Windows OSs – NT, W2K, W2K3 and W2K8, as well as the newest member of the family – the Windows 7 OS.
When consumers start up their PCs/laptops, everything seems to be fine initially. But, once they are logged in, nothing appears. There is no desktop, no taskbar, no system tray or anything else. It’s just a black screen. Sometimes the ‘My Computer’ explorer window does show up, but sometimes it is too tiny to be visible too.
Microsoft hasn’t officially confirmed anything as of now. However, there’s information that they are working on a solution.
In the meanwhile, Prevx have found a temporary solution to the problem.
